Wairau River Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough 2023
This refined Sauvignon Blanc comes from Wairau River’s family vineyards in Marlborough, New Zealand. Harvested in the cool morning hours to preserve freshness, the grapes were gently pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks. After blending, the wine was left to settle on light lees before bottling at the Wairau River Estate.
Vintage Overview:
Spring and early summer brought warm, settled weather ideal for flowering and fruit set. Despite periods of cloud cover and rainfall in summer, harvest conditions turned favourable, with fine, windy weather allowing extended ripening and optimum concentration.
Tasting Notes:
Intense aromas of ripe tropical fruits and citrus. Refined and elegant on the palate, with flavours of guava and stone fruit. Wonderfully expressive with a fresh, dry finish.
