Calalenta Pecorino Terre di Chieti IGT
This refined Pecorino is produced from grapes grown around Ortona, on the Adriatic coast of Abruzzo. Pecorino is a rare variety, known for its distinctive bunch shape reminiscent of a sheep’s head. The vineyards are planted on calcareous clay soils with a pergola training system, facing west and southwest.

Ortona, Abruzzo. Calcareous clay soils, medium texture, pergola-trained vines.
Vinification & Ageing:
Rapid crushing, destemming, and cooling to -1°C in an inert atmosphere, with static clarification of the must. Fermentation at 12°C to maximise aromatic extraction; 80% in stainless steel, 20% in large 40hl oak barrels.
Tasting Notes:
Straw yellow with greenish highlights. Aromas of white pulp fruits, especially pear, with balsamic and subtle oak notes. Full, fresh, and elegant palate.
Food Pairing:
Perfect with lobster, cream of vegetable soup, smoked fish, and also recommended with roasted chicken.

10-12°C.
