Poggio Civetta Chianti Classico DOCG
A traditional Tuscan red that embodies the heritage of Chianti Classico, combining elegance, structure, and vibrant fruit character.
Region: Greve in Chianti, Tuscany, Italy
Produced in the heart of Chianti Classico from hillside vineyards with sandy soils, cool nights, and long ripening seasons that enhance aromatic expression and finesse.
Vinification & Ageing:
Hand-harvested grapes are gently pressed and macerated on the skins for up to two weeks. The wine matures for 9 months in a mix of barriques and large oak casks, refining its balance and depth.
Tasting Notes:
Colour: Deep ruby red
Nose: Intense aromas of wild berries, violet, and a touch of spice
Palate: Dry, fresh, and well-structured with firm tannins, a full body, and a lingering spicy finish
Food Pairing:
Ideal with grilled steak, pasta with meat ragu, Tuscan cold cuts, and aged cheeses.
