An exceptional expression of a single harvest, Grand Vintage 2016 reveals Moët & Chandon’s vision of a ripe and structured vintage Champagne, crafted only in remarkable years.
Grape Composition:
42% Pinot Noir • 39% Chardonnay • 19% Meunier
Region: Champagne, France – sourced from selected Grand and Premier Cru vineyards.
Vinification:
Made exclusively from grapes of the 2016 harvest. Aged for a minimum of 5 years on the lees and an additional 6 months post-disgorgement. The wine undergoes partial malolactic fermentation to enhance balance and maturity.
Tasting Notes:
Colour: Pale gold with green hues and delicate effervescence
Nose: Initial notes of white peach and nectarine followed by hints of toast, fresh almonds, and pastry
Palate: Generous and structured with a creamy texture, bright citrus backbone, and a mineral, saline finish
Food Pairing:
Perfect with scallops, poultry in cream sauce, lobster, or soft cheeses like brie and triple crème.
